The Day 17 of the Twilight Zone Advent calendar and we have a question from Scott Melton and he says if a new series were to be produced but could only have one writer for all episodes, which living writer should write them?

Okay, I'll go first on this one, Emmy, because I only have a very rubbish answer.

So thank you, Scott.

But my TV watching these days, unfortunately,

because I'm kind of amazed in the Twilight Zone a lot of the time or whatever else I'm podcasting about,

seems to be very specific to like the other stuff I'm into, like Star Wars or Marvel or whatever.

So I'm not as well watched as I would

like to be to be able to pull out a great answer to this. I think my answer will generally be

the very obvious ones and you know Charlie Brooker, the writer of Black Mirror, he's an obvious one

because, you know, some people

don't like the comparison really because they are different, but I think he's a very smart guy

and if he was writing for the Twilight Zone, he would know how to write for the Twilight Zone. It

wouldn't necessarily look like a black mirror episode you know

but the two definitely share some DNA so i think charlie brooker would be a great choice but also

although we only really wrote one full episode and i think he contributed to some others.

I think if Jordan Peel had sat down and wrote a bunch of Twilight zones,

it probably would have ended up being a better show than it was.

And I say that as someone who really likes that show.

But I think Jordan Peel is a good writer and has good instincts.
