to the studio? I don't know but I'm under house arrest which is certainly better than being

locked under the table when Dali was hosting on Wednesday so I'm enjoying the modicum

of freedom that I currently have. I'm nothing if not a benign dictator and tonight we're talking

about the latest from Mansden asylum centre what FIFA don't want you to talk about during the

World Cup and Elon Musk's business strategy in Sephiracy has won for Twitter. After revelations

of appalling overcrowding and unsanitary conditions at the Mansden asylum centre in Kent,

the government has stepped in to try and sort it out. Well try is a bit of a stretch.

Mansden has been housing over 4,000 asylum seekers many for weeks at a time in a centre designed

to hold a maximum of 1,600 people for 24 hours. Diseases like scabies, diphtheria and MRSA spread

through the camp and there have been stories of sexual abuse, violence and even reports of

home office contractors selling drugs on site. The asylum seekers at Mansden have been living in a

waking nightmare but don't expect the government to show any contrition. This is policing minister

Chris Philip on Times Radio. If people choose to enter a country illegally and unnecessarily

it is a bit of a cheek to then start complaining about the conditions when you illegally enter

the country without necessity and then you don't have to come here. In France we're in

previously often pass through Belgium, Germany and many other countries on the way. We're doing

our best but the numbers are just overwhelming and that's why we need to do more work with the

French government to stop these crossings and also look at reforming the way that some of these

international treaties are getting applied domestically because it is making it very hard or
