I should begin by thanking Barnaby Rain and Aaron Bastani for filling my shoes in my

week off.

And I should also reassure you while my break may not have left me looking or sounding

in any way refreshed, mentally and spiritually I am very much ready to jump back straight

into the news that matters.

And I am delighted to be joined on my return by Moeolovian McClain.

How are you doing?

Well Michael, I didn't spend the weekend in a field so I feel very refreshed physically

and mentally.

You are certainly sounding healthier than me.

As for the show, as for the topics we are talking about, we are going to address Britain's

hideous deportation, policy, the ramifications of Roe vs Wade in the UK.

And Keir Starmer pretending he was only a teenager when he ran to be Labour leader.

First though, Scottish independence will there be another indie ref next year?

Nicholas Sturgeon has set a date for the next Scottish independence referendum if she

gets her way it will be held on the 19th of October 2023.

But of course, whether it will take place then is an open question to hold a legal referendum

which Sturgeon has been clear she is committed to.

The Scottish Parliament would need permission from Westminster.

That's how it was organised in 2014 through what's called a section 30 order.

Yet Boris Johnson has made it clear he will not be following the path of David Cameron.
