Fresh from his summer holiday, Kistarm has announced Labour's plan to deal with spiraling

energy costs.

He said if Labour were in government, they would freeze energy prices in effect, canceling

the price rise this October.

It would mean energy bills would remain at just below £2,000 instead of rising to the

£3,600 currently projected for October, and the further rise to £4,200 expected in January.

Labour say energy retailers would be compensated for the difference.

It's a big offer and, unsurprisingly, the first question the BBC put to Starmer this morning

was how Labour would pay for it.
