I'm sure you've seen the photos Boris Johnson at a party in Downing Street raises difficult

questions for him, even more difficult questions for the Metropolitan Police. I'm joined by

Aaron Bostani for the analysis you've been craving. How are you doing Aaron? Michael Grick pledged

to be joining you this evening. What a fantastic. Evergreen topics talk about the seaming in

eptitude of the Metropolitan Police Service. That is the angle of this that I find most shocking.

Obviously, I think, you know, people's anger about partygate absolutely justified, absolutely

legitimate. On one level, I'm finding the story a little bit repetitive, but the part

that I find genuinely interesting here is the role of the Met. So we will talk about that.

New photographs have emerged of partying inside Downing Street and they feature the Prime

Minister. They've blurred out faces of other party goers, but the four images show Johnson

and several others raising their full glasses in a toast on the table in the foreground

of bottles of wine, champagne and gin as well as various snacks. Here's Johnson again

presumably in the middle of a hilarious anecdote his drink firmly in hand. You can even see

his red ministerial briefing case on the chair in front of him.

Photographs are of a party held on the 13th of November 2020 when Johnson's communication

chiefly Cain left his job. It's an event about which Johnson has been clear. No rules

were broken. That included in December last year when he said this in Parliament.

Prime Minister, tell the House whether there was a party in Downing Street on the 13th

of November.

Prime Minister, this is Speaker, no, but I'm sure that it will ever happen. The guidance

was followed and the rules were followed at all times.
