So the first case is a 58-year-old man and he presents because he's had some blood tests and his HBA1c has come back at 53 millimoles per mole. You explore and it turns out he's got no symptoms. He's asymptomatic. So the first question is, what does a HBA-1C measure?

What does this blood test actually measuring?
