As we are approaching the two-year commemoration of October 7th, there is one man I think that we

really wanted to talk to for a long time. And I think that his

story encapsulates the horror of that day, the tragedy of that day, but also the resilience

and how to come out from terrible, terrible trauma. Yeah, and our thought was very much that, look, the news goes on.

There's going to be news every hour, but we wanted to really clear a space and just reflect

on the two years that have passed since October the 7th, 2023, you know, between, as you

and I have talked about, some ways nothing else since October

the 7th, 2023.

That's absolutely right.

It's just been permanent part of our conversation and conversations that Jews and Israelis

and many others have been having in these last two years.

But we did want to have a specific sort of moment where we could just reflect on what

happened then and the consequences of it.

And there is really no one better placed to have that conversation with than our guest

this week.

Elie Sharabi was up until October 7th, 2023, a kibbutznik from Beir with a happy family,

a happy life, and a brother who lived nearby.

On that horrific morning, he was kidnapped, taken to Gaza, and held in the most inhuman
