Hi everybody, this is Heidi St. John. Today I want to continue talking about wisdom and

the types of wisdom that we modeled for our children. Yesterday I told you that I have

a great thankfulness in my heart for the legacy that has been left to be by my grandparents.

Now they didn't do everything right, and certainly just like the rest of you, we've had

our struggles or had our struggles over the years as a family. But something that my

grandparents definitely did do right was instill in me a desire to pursue wisdom, not

the wisdom of this world, but God's wisdom. And that's what we want to be instilling

in our children. If you've got your Bible, go to 1 Corinthians chapter three, starting

in verse 18. And here is what the Apostle Paul said, do not deceive yourselves. If any

one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of his age, he should become a fool so that

he may become wise for the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it

is written, he catches the wise in their craftiness. And again, the Lord knows that the thoughts

of the wise are futile. Wow. The thoughts of the wise are futile. What? Think for just
