Summary
This pod is an outlet to vent after watching Real Housewives of Atlanta where Brit seemingly faced no network consequences for trying to intimidate and/or threaten a cast member by talking about having a weapon - and then watching a ridiculous ending to a slow paced, multi-season Yellowstone prequel. Kenya absolutely went too far, however it was odd to not see swift action to check a cast member for bringing up weapons at all, and that Kenya's prepared remarks and displays were a complete surprise to producers. Then, I loosely summarize the plot of Yellowstone 1923, a show whose last bundle of episodes were riddled with extreme violence towards its women characters. My rant on the show focuses on writer/creator Taylor Sheridan's choice to continue that trend and end the series with a grand display of senseless loss felt less like an attempt to relay life's harsh realities and more like emphatic overkill.
Yellowstone 1923 rant starts at 28:46 and is FULL OF SPOILERS

| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the high and low podcast. This is your host, Bravo, Bravo, Ducking, Bravo. This is a funky little pod where I'm going to rant about two different things. The first one is what the hell is happening on Atlanta. The second one, because I don't have anybody else that I know on my life that's watching this show, and I don't know where else I can talk about it, is going to be me ranting about the show |
| 0:25.6 | 1923, which is the prequel to Yellowstone. And for both of these shows, the reason why I'm |
| 0:32.2 | upset more than anything else is because I needed something in 2025. I would venture to say we all needed something positive |
| 0:39.5 | and good in 2025. So when I see a reality show go off the rails when it didn't need to, |
| 0:45.2 | one that was so hyped with an amazing cast that everybody was excited about, I get pissed. |
| 0:49.3 | When I'm watching a show that's scripted, completely made up from the mind of a flawed man, |
| 0:53.4 | I understand that. But still, for it to take such turns the way that it did, completely made up from the mind of a flawed man, I understand that. But still, |
| 0:55.1 | for it to take such turns the way that it did, I'm piss. So let's go. We're starting with Atlanta, |
| 1:00.2 | and I will put a timestamp in this because these two topics couldn't be more opposite. One is a |
| 1:04.7 | scripted show. One is a reality show. Okay, Atlanta, we knew what we were going to get into |
| 1:10.1 | with this latest episode. We knew this is the one where Kenny was going to twirl her way into a pause by showing explicit photos of Britt. I think it's episode four. Episode three, we saw Britt, the new cast member, talk about, I got my, I got my pistol on me and my pistol and my whips or something. It was just like |
| 1:27.7 | she was trying to intimidate and scare Kenya. She really took it to a different level that it |
| 1:33.7 | didn't need to be at. They were just having, you know, a tip for Ted. But not even that, |
| 1:38.7 | though. She keeps trying to come for Kenya. And it's obvious to me, I think that anybody who's |
| 1:43.2 | been watching the show long enough that she's a new cast member, and I think she's trying to me, I think that anybody who's been watching the show long enough |
| 1:44.3 | that she's a new cast member, and I think she's trying to make a name for herself by having an |
| 1:49.8 | issue with Kenya her first season. And what I've seen of Brit so far, it's very pick-me energy, |
| 1:56.2 | it's very try-hard energy, so it really pissed me off that Kenya took the bait. |
| 2:02.1 | Britt could have been a one and done, but instead, Kenya took the bait. |
| 2:06.9 | She still fights like a child, and she still continues to be her own worst enemy. |
| 2:10.7 | She had a kickoff event for her spa, her salon, and she's been lamenting this, okay? |
| 2:15.6 | Kenya more hair care. |
