Music In 1861, two men faced off in a war for the future of America, Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis.

Lincoln, the president of the United States, sought to keep the nation together, while Davis, the president of the Confederacy, led a rebellion of the Southern states against the Union. Both men represented different visions of what America was all

about, different visions about the meaning of the Union, states' rights, and freedom. It was an

unprecedented moment in American history.

Ultimately, we know Lincoln's vision would triumph.
