What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike.

And we're recording this right after Minnesota wins game four against Dallas. Really good game.

And the way it went down, it sparked a conversation and a topic I've

really wanted to talk to you guys about for a while because I think it's key to the Lakers

roster construction. And that's the topic of two big lineups. The way this Dallas-Minnesota

game goes down in the decisive stretch of the fourth quarter, Minnesota goes big. So it's from biggest to

smallest guy. It's Rudy Gobert, Carl Anthony Towns, Jaden McDaniels, Kyle Anderson, and Anthony Edwards,

a massive lineup. And it works. It forces some odd situations for Dallas. They draw some fouls.

Defensively, they're able to stymie both Luca and Kyrie throughout the night. But they win by

going bigger, right? There's a lot of talk, especially in the postgame show. This is even a

position that I held of they have to go smaller so they can play fast.

So it's more ball pressure, use their length better, make sure you can fly around a little bit better, which is difficult to do in two big lineups, which is the topic of today's pot.

But Minnesota is on one end of the spectrum with two big lineups in that they play two big lineups almost all the time.

The Lakers are on the other where it was very rare.
