Summary
Welcome to two-a-days, where Jacob Hester and I get you ready for the season ahead, one position at a time.
Kind of.
Today's episode is the first part of a two-parter, and it focuses only on LSU's quarterback room, which Hester says is the program's best since he was on the team with JaMarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, and Ryan Perriloux.
We break down Myles Brennan, Max Johnson, and Garrett Nussmeier, what each guy brings to the table, and what your take on the quarterback debate says about you.
Next week, we go to Twitter Spaces and your questions to talk about running backs and receivers.

| 0:12.8 | All right, welcome to another episode of Hey Fighten Podcasts. |
| 0:19.9 | Jacob Hester, in the Guarantee Studios. Mr. Hester, good to be back in your presence. Get some work done today. I'm glad to be here because that means football season is close. If we're doing Hey Fight and Podcast, that means that we're talking about, like, actual matchups. We're talking about, like, depth charts. We're talking about football things and not, like, what ifs that are that are like six months away. Yeah, you've been doing summer radio for a couple weeks and you still got a couple weeks of summer radio ahead of you. You're hanging in there? Hanging in there. Like ELSU does have like a job search going on right now. So that right there, that is good content because that's something that obviously people are passionate Sure. We have not yet gotten to the Mount Rushmore part of summer radio just yet. Nice. Yeah. I'm sure the Mount Rushmore's are right around the corner. We should do a Mount Rushmore's of Mount Rushmore's. Like what's the best Mount Rushmore's you've seen? So a couple things that I want to get to today. First of all, I'm calling this two a days because we're going to try to record two episodes today. Right. And it fits. So we're going to try to record a quarterback's episode, which I did extensive research on. I have numbers. I have so much data to work with. And then we're going to try to do some skill position guys. And I don't have as much data on those guys just because I ran out of time. Quarterbacks always get the attention. Yeah, I mean, I'm a sucker for quarterback stats. It's just where my head goes. So that's what we're going to try to do. Something else we're going to try to do. And this is something, so I've been spending a lot of time thinking about, like, what's the podcast going to look like this fall? How do we get more fan involvement? I did send out at All Call for some questions. Got some questions that we'll get to on Twitter and on Instagram. But also I'm going to try this new thing. We're going to try it now. We're going to try this live radio style. Best way to do it. We're going to try Twitter spaces, this is something I think might be good for the season. |
| 2:01.9 | The idea came to me last night as I was sitting there watching the NBA playoffs and ESPN went live on a spaces with like Rachel Nichols and like Waleigh and Stephen A. Smith, like a very random group of people. |
| 2:12.7 | But it was, it was cool like that live interactive format, and it got some fan involvement. |
| 2:18.8 | And I experimented with that a little bit last year with Zoom after the Florida game, |
| 2:23.1 | had fun with it. |
| 2:23.9 | So something we might try during the season, maybe as a hurry up after the game, maybe as a pregame show, we'll see. |
| 2:30.7 | But it's going to allow fans to listen in live and and maybe get some live questions that |
| 2:36.0 | sort of thing so i picked a great time 1015 on a wednesday i'm sure everyone's sitting at |
| 2:40.3 | their computer waiting to do this and not actually like doing productive work um so good planning |
| 2:44.1 | by and doing it live while we've already started the segment yeah it's it's uh it's it's it's a |
| 2:48.2 | it's a real professional operation here so let's's do this, Hester. I'm going to |
| 2:51.0 | open up my phone. I'm going to start the space. After I start the space, I'm going to like talk to people that join, like the six people that join. Oh, look, Twitter's got this nice like, I don't know if you can see that on the video or not. It says hop into the app and start your space. your fans are waiting. |
