It was a few days.

It was a few days before Christmas into town the Lawsons would go.

A family portrait would be taken for the last time, but they did not know.

For Charlie had planned this little family trip to be so sublime before murdering them all on Christmas Day, 1929.

There was author and Maybill and James and Marie, along with Raymond, Little Mary Lou, and lastly,

Carrie. They arranged in ages from four months to 17 years old. In just a few short hours,

their bodies would be cold. First to die would be Carrie and Maybell,

shot as they walked from the place that they dwell.

To finish the job he had bludgeoned them both,

then to the barn he would drag them, shielding for most.

Charlie walked back towards the house, leaving the carnage behind.

On the porch was Fannie, his wife, whom he shot at this time.

Marie heard the gunshots ring out from the yard. She would scream out to warn others to be on guard.

This unfortunately for Marie would not be enough to shield her life from ending so rough.

She would be shot in the chest by 12-gages well, joining her mother and sisters,

Carrie and Maybill. James and Raymond, the two young boys they would hide from the familiar

monster lurking outside. Charlie would find them quickly and without missing a beat. He would

shoot them immediately, his own special Christmas treat. Alone in a crib would lay little Mary Lou. Certainly she would be spared who could do this to a

baby so new. Charlie walked in with his cold dead eyes looking glazed. He bludgeoned her to death,

not even faced. He would arrange their bodies with arms folded across their chest, and a rock under their

heads is how he intended them to rest.

Charlie would exit this bloody crime scene and go, into the woods pacing around a tree
