Often imitated, but rarely equalled, the influence of this series can still be felt all these

years later.

The investigation into the death of Laura Palmer is certainly a strange and fascinating one,

but the real-life story of how this show came to be and how it all ultimately unraveled is nearly

as dramatic. What is it about Twin Peaks that has allowed it to enjoy such a successful shelf life?

And what will our nostalgia and two decades' worth of expectations mean for its upcoming revival?

I always knew of Twin Peaks as being kind of the first great mystery show,

like the first kind of weird mystery show.
