Hello, hello, everyone. This is Tanya Dalton, owner of Inquale Press, and I'm here to give you

0:10.9

another episode of The Weekender, a mini episode to help you end your week on the right note.

This season, we've been talking all about investing in yourself. And I think one of the

0:22.9

important things to understand when you're making this investment is who you are. What are the things

0:29.2

that you hold true? What are the characteristics, the traits, and the underlying beliefs that

0:34.7

make you the unique person that you are. I started thinking about this

0:39.4

1:24.6

Yeah, we all get that. Anyway, my simple truth's work to center me and remind

1:31.1

me of who I am at my core. I have a good size list, but I thought I would share just a few of them

1:38.0

with you today. I think it'll give you a little bit of insight into who I really am. Ready? Here's Tanya's simple truths. Nobody likes their story

topped. Being polite and kind doesn't mean you have to take anyone else's abuse. You don't

1:54.5

have to take anyone else's abuse ever. When someone starts the phrase, don't take this the wrong way, I will. Give people slack.

2:06.3

You don't know their story. Laughter always brings people closer and lightens the mood.

A single kind gesture can make a stranger's day, a nice comment or a compliment, or even

just a simple kind word.
