Welcome back to Mama Mystery.

0:12.3

I am your host, Kelly, and today's episode is a weekly docket episode where I tell you the top headlines in true crime for the week.

0:20.3

I'm getting this one out a little bit

0:21.6

early because it is Thanksgiving. So happy Thanksgiving. And if you're listening while you travel

0:26.4

to some family dinners, maybe you can bring up one of these stories at your Thanksgiving table

1:18.0

so that he wouldn't hurt their families.

1:20.7

So Morgan stabbed Peyton 19 times,

1:23.9

and somehow Peyton survived after crawling out of the woods and being found by a passerby.

1:30.1

I think it was a guy on a bike. But it's one of those cases that just stuck with people because

1:34.4

of the age of the girls, the extreme violence of it all, and the idea that this internet

1:41.3

creepy pasta could twist a kid's mind that far.

1:44.8

And if you're not familiar with creepy pasta, I actually had to look it up because I've seen

1:49.7

that word thrown around.
