Hello everyone, and welcome to a History of Egypt podcast interview. My guest today is Dr. Christina Riggs.

Christina Riggs is a professor in the history of visual culture at Durham University in the

UK.

And in 2021, Dr. Riggs published, treasured how Tutankhamun shaped a century.

Dr. Riggs explored the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb from an interesting perspective.

Rather than just retrading the discovery of the tomb itself, Dr. Regs also focused on the legacy

of this discovery. How Tutankhamun and his treasures have become ambassadors for Egyptian society, both ancient and modern, and how

the discussion and presentation of these treasures has shaped public perception of archaeology

and Egyptology. Dr. Riggs is an insightful scholar, exploring new avenues of modern history

and how they present the ancient past.
