Alma chose this and said, if I have to tell anybody about this change of heart of this singing the song of redeeming love that he's been talking about this whole book, and I want to show what happens to people when that happens, I want to pick this.

And then Mormon does the same thing. And he's picking from all these records and my imagination, you know, he's in a cave or something.

But as he's picking all these records, he's like, what can, he's in a cave or something, but as he's picking all

these records, he's like, what can I show them? It's not just those people, the anti-Nepha Lehiis,

he's saying it's not just Alma's people, it's us today. I think you're going to really enjoy

this week's episode. It's with Lori Denning, and we were intending to discuss Alma 29 as most of what we did,

but we started out talking about just a few chapters or verses in Alma 24, the speech of King

anti-Nephi-Lei, and we never got past that. It turned into a rich, deep discussion where

I feel like she was inspired to say some things, and then I would learn and say some things,

and it was a true dialogue where we discussed important things like, what does it mean

to have weapons of peace, and what does that look like for us, and what does it mean to recognize

what you've done wrong and to be grateful to God and how that defines your relationship with

God and the symbols of our ordinances and speeches

or conditions that change our life and change our relationship and covenant with God.

And I came to understand the covenant differently and better.

She gave me some new vocabulary to put into that.

And the notion of having our guilt swept away through the merits of Christ and finding a balance

between recognizing our need for Christ and having our guilt swept away.
