Hello and welcome to another edition of the Byron York Show, the No Chit Chit Podcast.

We like to get right into it and what we're going to get into today is turning Ukraine

aid into a partisan trap.

That's what we've been seeing on Capitol Hill and I wanted to explain what's going on.

So on March 17th you may have seen it.

Just recently the Washington Post published a story with a headline guaranteed to outrage

Democrats. The headline was more than two dozen Senate Republicans demand Biden do more for

Ukraine after voting against $13.6 billion for Ukraine. Okay. This headline really went viral

among lefty Twitter. It just seemed amazing. How dare they? I mean with Ukraine fighting for

its life against Russian invaders when it's desperate for help from the United States,

Republican centers voted to deny aid. And then they had the gall to demand that President

Joe Biden do more to help Ukraine. That's the party of Putin for you right there.

So this is the story that you saw from the Washington Post and you saw it from other media outlets

from lefty Twitter types from the Democratic Party of course. And that was the story but there

was a lot more to it as you might imagine. And that's what we want to talk about today.

Now the immediate subject of the post story was a statement that Rick Scott, the Florida Republican

Senator, had made on March 16th. Now that was the day that Scott and other members of Congress

heard from the Ukrainian president of the Vladimir Zelensky. He made an emotional appeal to Congress

for the U.S. to send warplanes and to impose a no-fly zone. He called it to close the sky

over Ukraine. He made this emotional plea for Congress to do that. And after hearing that,

a lot of lawmakers were deeply affected by what they heard. So they urged Biden to do more.

So Scott put out a statement and it said President Biden needs to make a decision today,
