| 0:56.8 | and as I navigate my own personal grief, it will take a while for me to feel 100% back to myself. |
| 1:04.6 | And that's okay. But I can tell you that this practice of turning to the good is a game changer and a lifesaver. |
| 1:13.8 | Too much of our lives is spent around negativity and in the negative. |
| 1:20.0 | The experience of what it means to be a black woman in 2024 is heartbreaking in itself. |
| 1:32.3 | The experience of being black is heartbreaking. |
| 1:38.2 | The experience of living in a world where people across the globe, we may never meet. |
| 1:45.7 | We feel a level of solidarity for when we see their pain on our television screens or on our phone through social media. You don't have to work hard to find the bad. It's just walk out the door, you can find it. |
| 1:54.6 | But there's probably some good around there too. It just may take a little more effort to find it. |
| 2:04.0 | Turning to the good as a practice and as a philosophy is all about acknowledging that bad things are happening, but choosing to focus on better and what's good around you. |
| 2:19.6 | It again isn't toxic positivity because in order to turn to the good, you have to acknowledge |
| 2:25.7 | the bad. |
| 2:26.9 | You have to own that something didn't work out. |
| 2:30.9 | But turning to the good is a choice to stay in a space that leaves room for, |
