Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd cast and so although President Biden

is not officially announced, if he's running for re-election, a majority of voters in our

brand new NBC News Bowl are already expressing reservations about a Biden re-election bid.

48% of voters told us they would be very uncomfortable with a Biden run in 2024.

Now the bad news for Biden doesn't always mean good news for Trump.

52% of voters said they would be very uncomfortable with a Trump bid.

So even more people, uncomfortable.

So imagine how they'll feel if it's Biden and D Trump.

So Mark Murray, we really, it took everything in our power last week because we had gotten

the poll about 30 minutes before a podcast and we waited till after.

It's an amazingly depressing poll.

The public is absolutely correct in its assessment of our political.

I mean, in that sense, they're channeling how we as reporters feel about the process

we're covering.

Yeah, Chuck, you and I've done this a lot and we've been through many different presidential

cycles.

And usually the beginning of a presidential cycle is that there's a lot of hope and optimism.
