Today's tip is that we all need adventures in our lives.

If adventures feel hard to come by right now, then your best bet is to

recast something you are already doing as an adventure.

Doing so can change the experience entirely.

For the past year, I've been researching how time management advice plays out in real life

for my next book, Tranquility by Tuesday. One of my rules is to plan in one big adventure

and one little adventure per week. The big adventure might be something taking half a weekend day.

The little adventure could just be an hour or so, but it needs to be something memorable.

Of course, over the last year, having adventures big and small has proved challenging for many people.

Travel has been restricted. Many places where one might have an adventure such as an amusement park

or museums have been closed. Some of that is changing now, but even so, when we get busy and when

we have many responsibilities, coming up with new adventures can be difficult.
