All right, today's the day, where we gather at tables and laugh, hopefully don't argue too much.

We cook enormous amounts of food or make this a day of service.

But today, it's a day of thanks.

And hey, I want to tell you what I'm thankful for right now.

Halloween.

What I mean by that is, I mean, look, I'm not going to lie, right?

Like a whole lot of people.

I've got a lot on my mind.

And you know what?

I have held on to Halloween for weeks.

Because that afternoon, I got to go outside my door, and I saw all these little kids,

just cute as anything in their costumes, and they were taking each other's hands and running

up and down the street, just totally full of joy. And I'm thankful for that. For that spirit,

for my neighbors, for the happiness and little pleasures,

for that sight of just pure friendship. And I'm thankful because it reminded me that no matter

how crazy things get, I can still look to the people I care about and find comfort in them.

And that's what Thanksgiving is also about, right?
