Our private detective Steve Bianchi continued to be a very busy man after his sit-down

with Cecilia Hoffman, the woman who would turn out to be the state star witness, as we had a long list of people that we wanted him to try to interview, which included doing a canvas of both the Hunter's neighborhood as well as the Brumbach's because we especially

wanted Steve to focus on the Brumbach's neighborhood as it appeared to us that

Omaha PD had not spoken with many of the Brumbach's neighbors about what they may have seen or heard

on Mother's Day of 2013.

Now it's critical to remember that the Brumback's bodies were not discovered until the following Tuesday morning, not after a wellness check was called in, but rather after a piano moving company came by for a scheduled pickup and they noticed that the Brumbach's front door was a jar.

This fact alone, in our estimation, puts the state's timeline as to when the state doesn't just think, but in fact needs the homicides to have occurred at issue.

Needless to say, we needed Yanki to speak to as many of the neighbors that were home that afternoon,

as he possibly can, because, as I've stated previously, it seems to be a near impossibility that no one in that small bedroom

community would not have heard or seen something during the late afternoon

on that beautiful Mother's Day, when such crimes of violence would have

been occurring. Part and parcel with canvassing the neighborhood, we also needed Yanki

to get to West Des Moines, Iowa in order to try and speak with the front desk clerk at the hotel that Garcia had checked into in the early evening hours of Mother's Day.

It was critical to see if she recollected Garcia checking into the hotel that evening, and if so,

what if anything did she remember about it?

We also had Steve chasing leads on alternate suspects,

as we were hoping that Michael Balanky's attorney who had handled his lawsuit

against Creighton would be willing to speak with us. We were also attempting to see

if there existed a connection between earlier homicide victim Joy Blanchard's

nephew, Charlie Simmer, and Shirley Sherman's daughter's boyfriend who she had such a tumultuous and

fractured relationship with stemming from him breaking Shirley's daughter's jaw during

a domestic dispute.
