In a case that spans years and has mountains of discovery that must be poured through before you can even begin your own investigation into the case, the ability to multitask is absolutely critical.

In the early days of the Garcia case, when the discovery began flowing in and the review of

0:22.4

the thousands and thousands of pages of documents was underway.

0:26.8

The discussion regarding which motions needed to be filed was in full effect.

0:38.0

Ali and my father drafted a vast majority of the motions in the case, and the motion work in this case was monumental.

0:42.0

Ali's work, her drafting of the motions,

0:45.0

I believe, would become one of the primary reasons

2:29.0

Because the typical response when we give them a call out of the blue or just show up at the door with our private investigator is,

2:38.0

hold on. They then go and call the prosecutor who tells them that they don't have to speak with us, which

2:45.7

is absolutely true, but frustrating nonetheless, as it leaves us in the unenviable position of having to cross-examine these witnesses at trial
