Hello, my friends. Let's talk today about how generosity wins. You know, one of our values here

in my business is generosity, showing up being generous,

helping other people be generous by sharing their voices, sharing their stories, showing their

wisdom, sharing their advice. And whenever I think about love or anything pleasant or anything

beautiful, generosity is kind of always the undercurrent somehow.

And I don't mean, you know, paying for people or giving your money away, although that's a wonderful

thing to do when it feels right and when it's right for you. But being generous is transformational, right?

We also receive what we put out. And so today I want

to take a second to read. It's chapter 109 in Let It Be Easy. On my iPad here, it's page 160. This is a

page I hear a lot about from people who've used Let It Be Easy as their book club pick.

This is a, because, you know, the book Let It Be Easy, which is really what kicked off the

idea for Let It Be Easy podcast. It's 143, super short, one page, one pager, chapters. So it's easy to breeze through. Morning, night, we need a bit of

But I'm going to read chapter 109 for you today. It's called Be Generous in Order to Win, right? Because we get to keep what we give

away. This is one of the most virtuous, incredible, gorgeous life cycles that's true. Okay, here

goes. My first job ever was in a bakery in England. I was 15 and I lived for the free iced buns. I'd turn away from

the security camera, take secret bites and feel like Angelina Jolie getting away with a sexy

screen crime. The bakery had a takeout lunch special one weekend that they were testing.

It was a sandwich and a cup of tea for just four pounds. Oh, the early 2000s, don't get me all wistful now.

The chef in the back, though, would massively skimp on the tuna in the sandwich.
