after a long conversation with some dear friends who were about to make a big life change and big

decision i had a moment of clarity i realized in weighing out the pros and the cons that it's not like they were making a bad decision.

I just wasn't sure that it was a good one.

Proverbs encourages us to choose wisdom.

And in Proverbs 198, it says this, the one who gets wisdom loves life.

The one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.

So yes, we discuss what was right and what was wrong, what felt right,

what felt wrong, what was wrong and what was right. But the conversation wasn't about what was

right or wrong. It was about what was wise. So much of our life would be void of conflict. If we just

realize that just because something isn't bad doesn't mean that it isn't wise. Just because something isn't bad doesn't mean that it isn't

wise. Just because something isn't wrong doesn't mean that it's wise. So when we are faced to make

important decisions, what if we were to ask ourselves less about whether what was right or what was

wrong and begin to ask ourselves the question, is this wise? If you're still at the point of your life

where you're thinking,

I don't know what wise would look like, it's okay. James tells us that if we ask God for wisdom,

he will give it to us generously. So I'm encouraging you. Don't ask if it's right. Don't ask if

it's wrong. Ask if it's wise. eyes.
