No, I'm not talking about physically, like on a hot day or after a long run.

I'm talking about that feeling in your soul, where it feels like nothing could satiate it.

you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.

Living water.

Living in a house with an automatic sprinkler system has been eye-opening for me.

When I grew up as a kid, we didn't have automatic sprinklers.

In fact, I was the sprinkler.

I had to go out with a hose and water the grass.

But now, in our current house, we have a sprinkler

system, and it made me realize just how often grass needs to be watered. And it helped me learn

the hard way that grass will simply die without a continual water supply. As I watched the sprinkler

the other day, it occurred to me that us, much like grass, we need to continually be

watered. We need water every single day, every moment of our lives. But I'm not talking about water

from a hose. I'm not talking about H2O. We need to draw from God's living water, his life. Only as we continually draw from Christ, his life, and his

strength, we'll be able to grow strong amidst the scorching heat and searing winds of life. So the

question I'm going to ask us today is, are we drawing from living water? Or are we trying to live on
