So I was swimming with my kids yesterday and today it's going to be cold and rainy and then it's

going to get up to the high 70s again later this week. You don't know what to expect here at Michigan.

Detroit Police is testing a new controversial gunfire sensing technology. The so-called

shot spotter pilot program uses sound sensors strategically placed throughout the city to detect

gunfire and then alert police dispatchers. Detroit Police Chief James Craig is targeting some

trouble spots in the city with the new technology. The trial has been running about a week now.

Shot spotter is picking up gunfire. Gunfire that is not called into 911.
