to privatize food service for the state's 45,000 prison inmates under a proposed 145 million

three year, three year contract. Snyder says that he'll consider objections from Republican

state Senator Tom Kasperson of Escanaba and unionized prison employees and others. But he's

not going to let them block the process. The state administrative board plans to consider

the contract with Aremar correctional services of Philadelphia that would eliminate 370 corrections

department jobs if they do move forward. The Snyder administration has said the change could cut
