American Idol Philip Phillips. I beat him in ping pong once he's celebrating a birthday today.

Happy birthday. Also, George R.R. Martin, the man behind Game of Thrones. He's celebrating a

birthday today. I've never played him in ping pong, but I'd feel good about my chances.

Also in TV history, this day, September 20th is the 45th anniversary of Fonzie jumping the shark

on happy days. That's where that term originated from. He literally jumped over a shark on water

skis in an episode as the show is losing popularity. Happy anniversary to Fonzie, the shark, and that term.

All right, let's get to it. I always start with the top story. I will have an update in a bit on

the Queen's funeral yesterday, but today we have to start with the devastation in Puerto Rico.

So much of the island is still without power and water. The governor is saying it could take days

before the lights are back on. The National Guard has rescued more than 900 people and will rescue

many more. I'm sure Hurricane Fiona took out a bridge and flooded two airports. They're still

dealing with flash floods on account of all the rain they continue to get. And there are parts

of Puerto Rico that are still trying to recover from 2017's Hurricane Maria. So five years later,

here we are again. And that storm, Hurricane Fiona is still going after hitting Puerto Rico and

the Dominican Republic. It has strengthened to a category three as it heads toward Turks and

Kekos. The National Hurricane Center said it may turn into a category four in the coming days.

And there are more extreme weather-related stories in the news right now. I'll have an update on

what's happening in Japan in a few minutes. For now, we get into a couple sports headlines. Let's

start with baseball with a win over the brewers last night. The Mets just became the latest team to

clinch their spot in the playoffs. Congrats, Mets. This is their first time since 2016. It was also
