Known for his roles in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and all the president's men, he was a force behind the camera as well

as a director of award-winning films like ordinary people

and a river runs through it.

This morning, the world mourning the loss of legendary actor and director Robert Redford.

With his piercing blue eyes and unmistakable presence on screen,

the California Natives' breakout role came in the 1969 Western,

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, opposite Paul Newman.
