I don't know how many friends stray made. Welcome to a new week, Michael. That was brave. But he was right. Yeah, he was. He was definitely right. And there's a lot more football tonight. Troy Aikman's going to join us live, head of a Monday night football double header. And Will Reve is in Houston this morning. For one of the games, he's got much more ahead, including one player's inspiring story. But first, we have a lot of news to get to starting with the summer heat holding strong, plus a tornado outbreak in the Heartland. Ginger is here, tracking it all for us. Good morning. Yeah, the pictures coming in over the weekend, we're stunning. And the kind we like, because most of them were out in fields where we didn't see

impacts to towns. But let's look and talk about what's happened at least two dozen reported

tornadoes including here in southern Utah. It's actually southeastern Utah. This is what we call

kind of a stovepipe shape of a tornado again out there in the fields. Nobody injured. We

love to see that. But the atmosphere was really going. This is from Sunday in Wing, North Dakota. That's where we saw a majority, right up the center of the state, into Northern South Dakota. There were hail, damaging wind reports as well. And this is the time of year where you see the shift between cool and warm, and then often you can get those thunderstorms. However, we're not to see a lot of shift until the end of the week. Look at some of the numbers like Minneapolis going to 90 on Tuesday. Remember, we're already well past their average last 90, usually late August. So weeks past that at 90 there on Tuesday, Wednesday, 85. Chicago stays in the 80s, Cincinnati, Nashville in the 90s,

and Kansas City right up there too. But you want a change and you are going to get it by

Friday. That's when things return to about average. It's not super cool. But still Cincinnati

at that point near 90, we're going to keep this warmth coming back again by next week. So a real

shift from that cool August that we saw.
