Do I miss the Super Bowl? No. Do you miss playing and being a part of it and the preparation? Yeah. I mean, the time I went to the Super Bowl, but typically 13 years, 12 of those 13 years, I was always watching all of the hoopla because I was not there or I was hosting the family. So yes, I'm enjoying spending time with you guys hanging out at the table, talking about it. And is it because we're talking about it every day, or do you actually feel that this matchup in particular is a special one? Oh, yeah, this matchup is definitely a special one. Obviously, the Super Bowl is always a fun time. But these two quarterbacks in this moment, I think, is going to be incredible to watch them come Sunday after. That's fantastic. Guys, it's been a great year with all. Sure has. You're all looking ahead to Super 57. First season in our books almost. time for the lead block. Time for the league. Here is a beautiful shot of Hole in the Rock. Yeah, I like this. This is a natural geological formation Papago Park located within Phoenix and Tempe. You learn things when you watch Good Morning Football. You also learn things when you listen to these two fine gentlemen. |
| 1:48.1 | Mike Giardi and Omar Ruiz. They are on site. They are assigned to their various teams. We're pretty sure they're not in the same room, yet they could be 10 feet apart in front of different backdrops and you'd never know it. So let's keep the jig up. |
| 2:00.7 | Mike, let's start with you. Players took the mic last net. You had your eye on a certain chief's defensive player. Please tell us about him. Well, we spent so much time talking about Chris Jones, obviously because he's the most dominant defensive lineman in football, at least he was this year. But Frank Clark is such an important piece for this football team. And to hear him talk last night, he took us all the way back to his |
| 2:21.6 | roots when he was drafted by Seattle and how he learned. And he started listing off the guys |
| 2:27.0 | that were on that defense, right? Michael Bennett, Cliff Averill, Cam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, |
| 2:33.5 | on and on it went. And he's giving you all these names. And then he's saying, like, I was about five or six years younger than they were at that time. So I didn't get the chance to be this kid. They were like, no, no, they pushed me. They pushed me hard. He said, there were times, of course, as a young player, you're still trying to learn the league where maybe you want to take it easy that day. and he said, they did not let me do that. And he's carried that with him to this point forward and said a much better player. And now he's going to be tested because we look at him and say, you know, he's obviously, especially in the postseason, he's been a terrific pass rush or prolific, quite frankly. But he'll be challenged in this game because of the running style that the Eagles bring to the table, the RPO's. And when Spags was talking about it earlier in the week, he said, like, the defensive ends, they're the most important people on the field for us. That's how these teams want to operate. They want to see what you're doing with your ends. They want to see if they take the cheese for some of these things. So Frank Clark can have to play a very disciplined game, but he learned how to be disciplined many, many moons ago from that Seattle team. That, by the way, should have won way more than just one Super Bowl. Just one? I don't know. Listen, anytime you have a chance to throw out to Ricardo Lockett on the goal line, you've got to do it instead of handing it off. Omar, The Eagles have famous offensive linemen. It's a rare thing. |
| 3:43.4 | They have multiple. |
| 3:44.5 | And they all went to some place |
