Perhaps with yesterday's military coup in Sudan.

Yesterday morning, Sudan's military seized power and detained the Prime Minister and

other top civilian officials.

The military chief announced that he was dissolving the country's joint civilian and military

government and imposing a state of emergency.

The coup led to thousands of protesters flooding the streets, who were not happy about it,

which ultimately resulted in soldiers killing three protesters and wounding 80 of them.

Obviously, the military justified their actions by saying that the country was under threat

and that elections would still happen in 2023.

The United States responded by suspending $700 million in military aid to Sudan and called

for the civilian-led transitional government to be restored, as that is what the money

was intended for.

Next we have to talk about Facebook.

Yesterday, the trove of internal documents that were provided to Congress by whistleblower

Francis Hawking and are now known as the Facebook Papers were released and reviewed by numerous

news outlets.
