The big headline yesterday was that experts are now acknowledging that the United States

is unlikely to reach herd immunity anytime soon, partly due to the emergence of new COVID

variants, and partly because a few fake yoga influencers on Instagram convinced enough

of their followers that they should, quote, do their own research when it comes to the

vaccine.

In more official terms, vaccine hesitancy is too high for us to reach the necessary threshold

of 80% immunization anytime soon.

Experts have concluded that this means the virus will most likely become a manageable

threat that will continue to circulate for years to come, still causing hospitalizations

and deaths, but in much smaller numbers.

Can you believe that free crispy creams weren't an up to counteract years of anti-vaxmas

information that circulates mostly through the personal device that we spend like six

hours a day staring at?

Speaking of misinformation, Facebook has announced that the Facebook Oversight Board

has come to a decision over whether they will reinstate Trump's accounts, and they will

announce his decision at 9am EST on Wednesday, aka tomorrow.

Facebook has previously committed to act on whatever recommendation the Board makes, and

not that I would have any idea either right, but there seems to be quite a substantial
