A deadly chemical tank rupture in a pulp and paper mill in Washington State.

One person confirmed dead nine unaccounted for.

First responders racing to Nippon Dinaway Packaging Company around 7.15 a.m. as a tank containing hazardous liquid known as white liquor had ruptured.

Photos obtained by Cowlitz County News, a citizen-run Facebook news site appear to show the crumpled tank.

Vehicles flipped over and crushed.

The substance in the tank is a mixture of chemicals that can burn the skin on contact or burn the lungs if inhaled.
