From ABC News, I'm Dave Packard. The Senate narrowly advanced in Iran War Powers resolution this afternoon by a vote of 50 to 47.

It's the first time the Senate's approved moving forward with the resolution after seven previously failed votes.

Republican Senator Bill Cassidy switched his vote after getting primaried over the weekend by a Trump-enourced challenger.

An extraordinary order from the Justice Department, barring the IRS from

investigating past actions of President Trump, his oldest sons, and their companies. It follows

the Justice Department's new fund $1.8 billion in taxpayer money to compensate Trump allies,

potentially going to January 6 rioters who attack police officers. On the Hill today, Senator Chris Van Hollen calling out acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Yesterday you created a $1.8 billion slush fund to dole out taxpayer dollars to the President's supporters,

including those who attacked this Capitol on January 6th.

That is pure theft of public funds.

The first polls closing in a critical primary night, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Pennsylvania,

Idaho, and Oregon are all in the spotlight. In Kentucky, President Trump wants to out incumbent

Republican Congressman Tom Massey, who he accuses of being disloyal.

Massey's closing argument to voters in Kentucky is that he best represents his district.

He also points to money flowing into Northern Kentucky from the GOP establishment from all across the country,

particularly from supporters of Israel, all in favor of his opponent, former Navy SEAL, Ed Galrod.
