President Trump says American allies in the Gulf region

have asked him to hold off on a planned attack on Iran because of negotiations taking place.

The post comes a day after the president threatened Iran on social media.

President Trump wrote on social media, the U.S. will hold off on what he called a, quote,

planned military attack on Iran scheduled for Tuesday at the request of the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. That pause, according to the president, is because, quote, serious negotiations are now taking place and a deal acceptable to the U.S., quote, will be made.

Still, the president warned he's asked the Pentagon to prepare for, quote, a full, large-scale assault on Iran on a moment's notice in the event that an acceptable deal is not reached.

The Islamic Center of San Diego was targeted by two suspects ages 17 and 19 this morning.

They opened fire, killing three men outside the worship center, including a security guard.

Police credit that guard with saving lives as the adjacent Arabic school was in session.

ABC's Trevor Alt tells us it's being investigated as a potential hate crime.

Now this major investigation is underway here. We're outside the Islamic Center, but this is a crime

scene that stretches several blocks in every single direction. Law enforcement now trying to
