And I wanted to share at least a few moments with you from the Book of First Kings.

So let's go ahead and find our place.

before we got started but let me find my place here we ended yesterday in first kings chapter 8

and verse 52 where solomon is just praying he's praying for God's people. He has talked through a couple

different hypothetical scenarios. If this happens, if this happens, if that happens,

let there be a place that they can look, a person to whom they can come. God, let that be you and let that be this place.

And I feel like that is such an important concept for us to learn when it comes to the hypotheticals

of our life. All of our futures are hypothetical. We don't know what's going to come down the pipeline.

We don't know those uncontrollable circumstances that sometimes take place in our life.

But isn't it good that regardless of what might happen, we know who we have in the Lord.

We know where he is.

We know the immutability of his character.

And Solomon is referring to all of that.
