Donald Trump could clinch the Republican presidential nomination today.

Let's get you caught up with today seven stories.

Number one, Trump could win enough delegates to secure his bid in the 2024 presidential election.

Georgia, Hawaii, Mississippi, and Washington are holding Republican nominating contests today.

President Biden could also cross that threshold

with Democratic primaries in Georgia, Washington, and Mississippi.

This would set up what is expected to be a highly charged 2024 campaign season.

On Friday night at a Republican fundraiser in a Kansas City suburb,

attendees beat and kicked an effigy of Biden.

The incident has sparked calls for the

leaders responsible for the event to resign. And even before he

officially secures the Republican nomination, Trump is working to tighten his grip on the party.

He has already picked the new leadership team at the Republican National Committee,

which has started firing dozens of employees just days after taking over.

Number two, the prosecutor who criticized Biden's memory is testifying in Congress today. Special counsel Robert Herr

infuriated the White House in February for saying the president had a poor

memory in a report about Biden's handling of classified documents.

That detail was angrily denied by Biden, whose age has become a crucial issue in the presidential

race.
