Seven U.S. service members are now dead and now a new accounting of those who've been wounded in the war with Iran.

A Pentagon spokesman says roughly 140 service members have been wounded since the

start of the war and that the vast majority have suffered minor injuries. But officials say eight

troops have been severely wounded. The body of a seventh service member who was killed in action

arrived at Dover Air Force Base last night. ABC's Stephen Portnoy. President Trump said Russian President

Putin offered the U.S. assistance in its war with Iran during their conversation on Monday.

ABC's Karen Travers. Putin and the Kremlin have put out statements issuing unwavering support. That's a quote, for the Iranian regime, offering congratulations for the new Iranian leader.

So how the Russians can be helpful in the president's view, that is still not clear.

The administration saying Russia denied that it's providing intelligence to Iran.

Oil prices down sharply from their peaks yesterday.

Still, prices are significantly higher than before the start of the war.
