Hosea 13:4-8 To be sure, some people go through dark times and choose to blame God. But those that enjoy prosperity are much more likely to forget God than those who go through hard times. The irony is this: God is the bestower of blessings, and He is the one most often neglected when they multiply!

Hey, friends, welcome back to our ongoing episodes in the Book of Hosea here in the Old Testament,

one of the Book of the Twelve, as they called it in the

Hebrew Bible. We called them the minor prophets, certainly nothing minor about their messages.

But we've been here in Hosea for a few weeks now. We're going to end this week, Lord willing,

and we're in chapter number 13.

So yesterday we talked a bit about the importance of humility and humility leading us to seek the Lord and certainly causing us to repudiate idolatry in our lives and avoid the predictable and destructive path of sin.

And we talked to all about that.

So today, I wanted to see verse number four, where the Lord reminds us of the history

that he had with these people.

And honestly, the foolishness that they exhibited by leaving a really,

really good relationship and situation. Look at verse number four, where the Bible says,

yet I am the Lord, thy God, from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no God but me, for there is no Savior beside me.
