for today's episode. We're in Matthew 26, and we talked,

I just really enjoyed talking about Jesus singing. That's such a great concept, that Jesus and the

disciples sang together. The passage continues in Matthew 2631, still in the upper room.

Jesus said unto them, all ye shall be offended because of me this night.

And then he quotes an Old Testament prophecy there in Zechariah.

I will smite the shepherd, the sheep of the flock

shall be scattered abroad. But after I'm risen again, Jesus says, I will go before you into Galilee.

So Jesus gives this ominous prediction that tonight is going to be a very difficult night. And among the events of the evening

will be the forsaking the betrayal of every single one of you. Now, what a statement. These are they

that have been closest to the Lord. These are the ones that have been most faithful and loyal.

And these are the ones that have just sung with him.

They have participated in this long meal with him.

Their feet have been washed by him.
