Summary

Ephesians 1:19-23 There are some things that God wants all of His children to know after they have been born into His family. Among them is this great truth: He wants His children to know that they can be sure that they will be just like Jesus! God will used the same power by which Jesus was resurrected from the dead in order to accomplish His purpose in the lives of His children!

Hey friends, welcome to our episode of Everyday Truth. I'm not in my studio today, obviously. I'm in

children are here from the States and we've just got a whole big family thing going on. So it's a

blessing. But I'll be here for a while and I thought I would go ahead and record the episodes

So we're in Ephesians chapter number one, if you have a copy of the Word of God with you.

And last episode, we began talking about the prayer that the Apostle Paul prayed for these new believers. Remember, he's writing to the people

of Ephesus, the church at Ephesus. And in that church, there are some people that are Jewish

believers and a good number of Gentile believers. And remember that those groups typically did not get along. So the fact

that they are now one in Christ, what Jesus has done to bring them together, what that means,

some of the tensions that they're still having because of some of those prejudices that they've brought into

their salvation, all of that's a big deal. In fact, the Jewish Gentile controversy covers so

much of the New Testament. Think about the Jerusalem Council in Acts chapter 15, and then

all of the teaching that the Apostle Paul did on, hey, get along, whether that be Romans,

chapters 14 and 15, which we covered during our Romans series, or 1st Corinthians, chapters 8, 9, and 10, or passages like these.
