We're studying the book of Matthew, as you know, and we're in Matthew chapter 3,

learning a little bit more about how Jesus is king.

And I love Matthew 3 because it introduces the ministry of the forerunner of the Lord Jesus,

the John the Baptist.

And let me just read the verses and we'll jump in. And what a great example.

Please remember that John the Baptist, Jesus said, was the greatest born of woman. And John

the Baptist was a man whose entire life was about pointing to Jesus and emphasizing and elevating the ministry of Jesus,

he must increase, I must decrease, and what a great example for you and me. So, Matthew

chapter 3, verse number one, in those days, came John the Baptist, John the baptizer, preaching in the wilderness
