Hello, friends, and greetings from Chattanooga, Tennessee. I am here for just two days

preaching for a great church here, Calvary of Red Bank in Chattanooga and having a good time

with some ministry friends. But missing you,

hope to see you down the trail and glad to get together with you each day here on the podcast.

We're studying the book of Matthew, as you know, and we're in Matthew chapter 3,

learning a little bit more about how Jesus is king.

And I love Matthew 3 because it introduces the ministry of the forerunner of the Lord Jesus,

the John the Baptist.

And let me just read the verses and we'll jump in. And what a great example.

Please remember that John the Baptist, Jesus said, was the greatest born of woman. And John

the Baptist was a man whose entire life was about pointing to Jesus and emphasizing and elevating the ministry of Jesus,

he must increase, I must decrease, and what a great example for you and me. So, Matthew

chapter 3, verse number one, in those days, came John the Baptist, John the baptizer, preaching in the wilderness

of Judea, and saying, repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. It's near, it's here,
