This is a super quick and efficient look at all the headlines, just a little roundup of everything going on.

So you feel like you know what's happening as you start today. And this show starts right now.

And we always start with the top story. Again, today, it's the fires

burning in Southern California. So far, in the last week, tens of thousands of acres across the

Los Angeles area have burned. And now the National Weather Service is predicting severe fire

conditions through Wednesday, through tomorrow.

The strong winds are returning, which is not good.

They're forecasting sustained winds of up to 40 miles per hour,

getting up to 70 in the mountains.

Incredibly dangerous.

Those embers from those fires can then travel for miles and start fires all over the place.

In addition to the 5,000 plus firefighters on the ground,

around 1,800 national guardsmen have been activated

to help with the fight and assist the affected residents.
