Hello, friends. Welcome back. We are in Galatians

for today in our Bible, talking about, really just talking about the freedom that we have in Jesus,

the liberty that is ours in the new covenant. Jesus has died for us once for all.

All the Old Testament sacrifices were but a picture of the substance of what really

happened at Calvary, and that is the Lamb of God, took away the sin of the world.

And when we trust him by faith, we make his righteousness our righteousness, receiving him by faith,

and there's a freedom now. The Holy Spirit of God comes to live inside of us. He empowers us,

writes the law upon our hearts. And so instead of looking at the law as our schoolmaster or as our mirror that is constantly

condemning us, we have the Holy Spirit who is encouraging us and empowering us to do the things

that we could not do without him.

It's a wonderful life.

It really is the life of the New Testament believer.

And the Apostle Paul is really encouraging these Galatian converts not to be snookered.

How you like that word by the Judaizers who are coming in and really taking them back in their

thinking, putting them back into a works-based righteousness mode. And Paul is vociferously arguing

against this. Why? Because it's a bondage way to live. And he says in verse number eight,
