It's a big day at the Supreme Court and the debate over how the coronavirus pandemic

started is back in the news.

Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories.

At number one, today the Supreme Court will hear arguments on two cases challenging

President Biden's student loan relief program.

The big question here is about the authority of the federal government and whether

Biden has the power to grant such sweeping loan forgiveness. There's a lot at

stake here for millions of people. Under Biden's plan, more than 40 million

Americans could have up to $20,000 of their

federal student debt canceled. Today's arguments will give us a sense of how the

justices are feeling about the case, though a ruling is likely months away.

This court has a conservative majority,

so it has generally been skeptical about how COVID-19 started.

This comes from a new analysis from a little-known team called the Z division.

It prompted the Energy Department to say with low confidence that it believes a lab accident

in China likely started the coronavirus outbreak. This is reignited a debate over the origins of COVID-19.

White House National Security spokesman John Kirby reiterated that there's no widespread agreement even among US intelligence.

There is not a consensus right now in the US government about exactly how COVID started.
