and today is Tuesday, February 21st, 2023. The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know.

There are Houdini moves happening at the White House. President Biden visited Ukraine in a top

secret trip that was months in the making. Even the president himself just signed off on the trip

on Friday. He arrived in Kiev around 8 a.m. local time yesterday morning on a train that

traveled overnight from Poland. The trip to Ukraine

is three days away from the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion. And although President Donald Trump

and Barack Obama made surprise visits to Afghanistan and Iraq, this was the first presidential trip

to a war zone in which the U.S. did not have a military

presence. While in Ukraine, the president said, quote, I thought it was crucial that there

not be any doubt, none whatsoever, about U.S. support for Ukraine in the war. But let's learn a little

more about this secret trip. No one knew except for President Zelensky, select members of the U.S. government, and Moscow.

They actually told Russia ahead of time, hey, the president of the U.S. is coming to Ukraine.

Which makes sense because the last thing, and I know this sounds counterintuitive, but the last

thing Russia would want is to mistakenly kill the president

of the U.S. Right. His 20-hour journey began when the president left the White House around 3.30 a.m.

on Sunday, but he did not take Air Force 1. He took an Air Force C-32, which is a modified Boeing 757,

which they normally use for domestic trips to small airports.
